Anjuli Jacobs was a child of light and love. From a very early age she touched everyone with her compassion and love for others. Born a few days before Thanksgiving in 1996, she truly is her mother's greatest gift.
Anjuli loved her family, her friends, her home and her church. She was baptized May 4, 1997. She enjoyed dancing, running, reading, painting and snuggling. She loved dolls, ponies, tea parties, songs, picnics, videos and princesses.
My little one gave love and laughter to all her knew her. A caring and sharing child, Anjuli believed in the power of hugs and kisses.
Diagnosed with a deadly brain tumor in October 2000, Anjuli bravely fought a battle with cancer that inspred all who knew her. Though the cancer stole all of her abilities and bodily functions, Anjuli never complained. Medical staff continually marvelled at the bravery and courage of this darling little dancer.
Although debilitated by this devasting disease, Anjuli refused to let cancer dim the brightness of her light. She accepted Christ in December 2000, and lived to see another Easter, Mother's and Father's Day. She died June 22, 2001. She was four and a half. Her tragic loss will be felt forever.
I will always love you Anjuli! -- mama

Important Brain Cancer Info:
Brain Tumors are the leading disease cause of death of children in the U.S. More than 1,400 kids die from brain tumros each year in this country. That is more than AIDS and cystic fibrosis combined!
Also, cancer kills more than 3,000 kids each year in the U.S. Think about it; that's like having a 9/11/01 every year in our country, only all of the victims are children.
Only cures will end the suffering - and cures only come from research!

Important Brain Cancer Awareness Info:
I created and founded the first ever National Brain Tumor Victims Memorial in May 2002 to raise awareness of this deadly disease. I collected more than 850 hats from families of brain cancer angels and laid them in Washington DC to illustrate the huge toll brain cancer takes. The memorial is now a traveling display and contains more than 2,500 hats of both angels and survivors. It has travelled to dozens of cities educating people about the need for research. Contact me for more information about how you can send a hat to represent yourself or a loved one.
